Randy A. McCool, MD
Randy McCool graduated Cum Laude from the University of Illinois (Champaign-Urbana) and received his Bach elor of Science degree with Honors Distinction in 1983. He is also a member of Phi Beta Kappa.
Awarded a United States Air Force Health Professions Scholarship, Dr. McCool attended Loyola-Stritch School of Medicine, graduating in 1987. He was selected for the United States Air Force Residency Program in Obstetrics & Gynecology at Keesler AFB, Biloxi , MS . While a resident, Dr. McCool gave presentations at the Armed Forces District Conference for the American College of Obstetricians & Gynecologists. He also published original articles in the Journal of Reproductive Medicine and The Southern Medical Journal.
After completing his residency in Obstetrics & Gynecology in 1991, Dr. McCool served on active duty in the United States Air Force as Staff Physician and Chief of Obstetrics & Gynecology at Ellsworth AFB, Rapid City , SD and MacDill AFB, Tampa , FL.
Honorably discharged in 1996, Dr. McCool entered private practice as Chief of Obstetrics & Gynecology at Graves-Gilbert Clinic, Bowling Green , KY until 2008. He is an active member of the American College of Obstetricians & Gynecologists (ACOG), and has served as Treasurer for his ACOG Section. Dr. McCool is an active member of the American Medical Association and the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine. He is a board certified Fellow of the American Board of Obstetrics & Gynecology.
Dr. McCool’s clinical interests include general and high risk obstetrics, outpatient laparoscopy, gynecologic and pelvic surgery, screening and treatment of pre-invasive gynecologic disease and office ultrasound. He is also able to provide care in Spanish.
Dr. McCool is an advocate of international adoption. His personal interests include travel, reading, and spending time with his wife and his three daughters.
